[1X] Mission Analysist Engineer

Argotec

SPACE FOR AMBITIONS

At Argotec, we build the most innovative, sustainable, and reliable space solutions and missions. Our horizons range from small satellites for low Earth orbit and deep space to cutting-edge technologies designed to enhance the comfort of astronauts, space explorers and space tourists.  Our expertise leads us to design, build and operate our own products entirely in-house. That means every part of our designs comes to life in our laboratories.

The Mission Analyst Engineer is responsible to prepare and take care of the Mission Analysis simulation and activities during the all the mission phases, in Deep Space and Earth scenarios. The position is part of the System Engineering team.

MA Engineer activities typically include, but are not limited to:

  • Trajectory analysis and orbit optimization prior to the mission launch, during the development stage of the projects and during the satellites’ in-orbit operations, in support of the flight dynamics team
  • Earth, Lunar, Libration Point and Interplanetary Mission Analysis design and optimization according to the mission objective and constraints
  • DeltaV budget and manuevers strategy definition
  • Development and application of different (basic and advanced) techniques for solving a variety of orbital mechanics and astrodynamics problems
  • Development of engineering tools to support the Mission Analysis, including trajectory modelling and trajectory corrections for the real time operations
  • Develop mission analysis capability utilising and developing new simulation and analysis tools
  • Mission Analysis simulations and optimization according to the spacecraft’s propulsion (chemical, low thrust and/or hybrid)
  • Utilize numerical methods to analyze flight mechanics problems including numerical integration, root-solving problems, and coordinate transformations
  • On orbit data analysis and debug support. Support to the development of contingency operations of the satellite, including preparation avoidance maneuvers, recovery of routine operations, safe mode support
  • Trajectory analysis, orbit optimization and corrective maneuvers assessment during the in-orbit phase of the projects
  • Perform Monte Carlo analysis to determine flight performance under various operating conditions
  • Perform navigation analysis with respect different mission scenarios
  • Formally document the results of all the activities performed
  • Coverage analysis for ground station activities
  • Design, analysis and optimization of Smallsat Constellation
