The EAC Crew Operations Support (ECOS)is a multidisciplinary team

composed of members and operational experts from various EAC teams such as Space Medicine, Space Training and Astronaut Operations.
ECOS supports the preparation, integration and execution of various research activities, technology demonstrations and systems activities on board the International Space Station, the Lunar Gateway, as well as simulations of space conditions on the ground (analogue platforms) in the areas of medical operations, crew support, training
ECOS acts as an ESA Operational Centre and is responsible for running and implementing European systems and payloads on the International Space Station. ECOS is set to extend its support to the Artemis and Gateway missions starting with the Artemis-2 mission.

The Argotec Space Medicine Team at the European Space Agency (ESA) supports the radiation protection activities of the European Astronaut Centre and ensures the radiological safety of ESA astronauts travelling to the International Space Station (ISS) in low Earth orbit.
They plan and secure joint missions to the lunar orbital gateway and to the lunar surface, preparing and implementing the radiation protection strategy for exploration-class space missions by ESA crews.
