To support our Company’s growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic IT System and Infrastructure Team Leader who will report directly to the Digital Transformation Manager.

DUTIES 

 

As a IT System and Infrastructure Team Leader, you will drive the administration and optimisation of our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability across all company systems and networks. You will manage complex systems and drive digitalisation projects to ensure the seamless operation and optimal performance of all digital assets, network components, and server environments.

 

The activities will include (but are not limited to):

 

  • ICT Infrastructure Administration: Oversee and administrate the company's ICT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and devices to ensure availability and optimal performance.
  • Create and update manuals and documentation.
  • Provide technical support for business staff and troubleshoot issues related to internal ICT solutions.
  • Design and implement ICT infrastructure solutions to support the company’s operations, including frequent reconfiguration of the data center to meet business needs.
  • Create standards and frameworks for ICT processes and push their adoption within the company.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and effectively resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring proper functioning and timely troubleshooting.
  • Planning and Implementation: Participate in planning and implementing new ICT solutions, ensuring compatibility and integration with the current infrastructure.
  • Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect the company's IT infrastructure from cyber threats and ensure data integrity.
  • System Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data protection and business continuity.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Engineering, R&D, and Mission Control teams to standardize data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
  • User Support: Provide technical support and training to end-users to ensure efficient use of IT resources.

 

 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in systems and infrastructure management or in a related technical field.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English.

 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

 

  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems and communication protocols.
  • Solid understanding of virtualization environments, Linux, and/or Windows environments.
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing virtualization solutions, cloud computing, and modern IT architecture.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and adaptability to an ever-evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and convey system concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with concepts of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity (BC).
  • Experience in security management, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless networks.
  • Ability to manage and optimize database systems, both relational and non-relational.
  • Encourage a problem-solving mindset, simplifying complex systems and driving rapid solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of network infrastructures and data storage administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT hardware (clients/servers and virtualization solutions).

 

 

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

 

  • Experience with space and defense-related technologies and systems will be considered as a plus.
  • Specialization or certifications in system administration, network management, or cybersecurity.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with on-prem platform.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent attitude towards teamwork and cooperation.
