Miguel is a seasoned leader and engineer with extensive experience leading large technical teams and has worked in human spaceflight and space exploration for the last two decades.
At Argotec, Miguel is leading the company’s technological and engineering efforts to develop the next generation of satellite platforms, payloads, and components for interplanetary, Mars, Moon, and LEO missions.
Before joining Argotec, Miguel worked at Sierra Space and Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) for over ten years, where he led the software, GNC, and simulation organizations through the design, development, and testing of the Dream Chaser. Before his tenure as the leader of the software teams, he led the design of the cargo vehicle instrumentation baseline, and he served as the instrumentation lead during the Dream Chaser atmospheric flight test campaigns at Edwards Air Force Base in 2013 and 2017.
At NASA’s Johnson Space Center, he conducted ground and flight research studies investigating the effects of microgravity on astronauts’ physiology. He also worked on multiple International Space Station expeditions and Space Shuttle missions as a member of the Mission Operations Directorate.
