To support our Company’s growth, we are looking an AIT Engineer - Harness Designer, who will be part of our Engineering AIT Unit, focusing on the design and development of harnesses for our satellite platforms and ground support equipment. The ideal candidate has a solid electronics background and an interest in cable and harness design, from schematics to material selection.

DUTIES

As an AIT Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, documentation, assembly, and testing of harnesses for both our flight and test projects.

The activities will include (but are not limited to):

• Design of electrical harnesses, including schematics, layout diagrams and pin-to-pin lists;
• Selection of connectors, contacts, wires and other parts based on electrical, mechanical and environmental requirements;
• Analysis of technical documentation and manufacturing specifications;
• Support to harness manufacturing and assembly;
• Drafting of technical documentation, including design files, assembly procedures, and test procedures and reports;
• Testing and validation of cables and harnesses, including activities in Clean Room;
• Directly interface with internal and external stakeholders for harness definition and manufacturing;
• Support with QA/PA processes definition and non-conformances management;
• Harness routing definition in accordance with satellite’s mechanical design;
• Support to broader AIT activities (PCBs debug, test setups, small assemblies) when needed;
• Ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and procedures

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Technical High School Diploma will also be considered; 
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role; 
• Good written and oral communication skills in English;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset;
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail and willingness to continuously learn;
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Proven ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams;
• Basic knowledge of harness design fundamentals (materials, design rules, etc.);
• Experience in soldering through-hole and SMD parts and cables;
• Good familiarity with laboratory instruments (multimeter, power supply, etc.) and tools (crimp pliers, wire strippers, wire cutters, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple activities with precision;
• High level of reliability, proactivity and accountability;
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, working under tight deadlines.
   

   ADDITIONAL ASSETS

• Previous experience in the aerospace or defense industry will be considered a plus; 
• Familiarity with CAD tools for electronics or harness design (Altium preferred) and mechanical design (Solidworks preferred);
• Experience in ESD controlled environments;
• Knowledge of ECSS and IPC standards.
